Fulcrum transformed this kitchen for a young working couple, keeping in mind all the problems and attending to all their needs.
Considering the existing accessories, we decided the colour scheme to be grey, raw wood and mustard. We added a lot of storage using cabinets, an extra counter and also a loft. Maintaining the rustic and organic charm, we increased the height of the counter and gave everything in the kitchen a designated space. Accessories with an old world charm were added along with a rug for warmth and we completed this rustic kitchen with a snack bar and a coffee station!
We completely changed this simple house into a quirky and unique space for a young couple.
To reflect their personality, we opened up the kitchen and added a fun bar cum dining table as the main highlight. Keeping in mind their love for movies, we accommodated all their posters in the rustic bar and added an informal seating to the living room, to address their love for hosting friends. To give the space a quirky charm, we included a fun reading nook too.
The kitchen got a Greek theme with a white and blue colour palette, we also perfectly maintained the work triangle concept by separating all the sections in the space while opening it up to the living room so as to facilitate interactions and conversations.
A major transformation, we completely changed this living room into a multifunctional haven!
Knowing we had to increase the seating space, we added statement chairs, changed the couch and also converted the shoe rack to serve a dual purpose of storage and seating. We gave this living room built-ins which serve as bookshelves. By pushing in the old tv unit, we managed to increase the space, add more versatile seating, a swing and storage shelves too! All in all, we made the space a conversation starter with the neutral furniture and decor!
We started off this makeover by adding a ventilated safety door, increasing the height of the shoe rack and placing a loft overhead, along with a marble wallpaper and a hanging light for balance in the entrance. In the living room, we added a pop of colour with a chair and a side table while keeping the decor very zen with plants, candles, lamps, jute curtains and a rug.
Maintaining a beige and grey colour theme, we gave the dining area a statement panelled wall and a console for storage, while a mirror and lights anchored the entire space.
It’s not always necessary to change up everything in a transformation, just like in this living room we kept the walls and tv unit as is and worked around them.
We increased the seating by providing a more fluid plan to accommodate more space and people. While avoiding a centre table, we added a versatile trolley and side tables to serve the purpose. We gave the corners two statement floral chairs, and kept the couch neutral and textured. We also stuck to the colour scheme of taupe, brown and blue throughout!
We had to give this room of a holiday home, a rustic and old school charm.
While keeping the space very contemporary with wooden furnishings, we added jute curtains and linen sheets for the decor. We gave the room a pop of colour with cushions and added a lamp and rug for warmth. We also combined the side table and dressing table and gave the other corner of the bed an elevated ledge for multipurpose use. And that’s how we completed this charming room transformation !
